The Rules (under construction, please mark to watch!)

The following are the rules established by the owner and administrators of the wiki. It is your responsibility as a user to (a) know these rules, (b) check them when they change or new ones are added, (c) report violations to the administrators, and (d) abide by them.

In order to insure a general quality of experience and enjoyment for all users, these rules are set forth on a NO TOLERANCE policy. What does this mean? Simply put, it means this isn't baseball and you don't get strikes. It also means we haven't created this resource to play 'rules attorney' with others, and those who attempt to skate on the edge of any one of them will find themselves quickly disabused of the notion that it will be tolerated.

If you have questions, ask them. When in doubt, DON'T DO IT.

On Lore & Characters

1. This is a resource for friends and people willing to play nicely and fairly together (even if an IC conflict is involved), while critiques may be requested in some cases, please remember to be friendly and polite in all of your interactions. Keep in mind, while making comments, that if you use a word against an idea, a character, or anything not a person, if you said it about a person, would it be an insult? If it would be an insult or slight, then do not make the comment about an idea or piece. Refrain from using such language as impossible or telling people what they can or cannot do (you may say YOU do not think it is likely given blah blah blah, but don't get bossy because you know lore). If you cannot be tactful, refrain from making any comments at all.

2. Entries to the wiki will abide by the established storyline set forth by Blizzard for its universe (in other words, no changing what has happened in lore, elaborating and adding to may be permitted, outright changing is not).

3. Entries to the wiki will make a good faith effort to remain within the boundaries of existing lore.

4. Trademarked, Copyrighted, and Servicemarked names belonging to companies other than Blizzard Entertainment Online are not to be placed within this wiki. (If you are roleplaying a crossover, there are ways to present them here without breaking this rule. For an example, check out Renawyn. )

5. Administrators reserve the right to remove any item that fails to meet these criteria.

6. The items included in this wiki are creative content and generally speaking, not open for comment unless the user in question has explicitly requested comments, feedback, or critique on their 'discussion' page.

7. If you wish to provide services to the users of this wiki with regard to lore review, please be sure to note this on your discussion page. In future, we will offer a page specifically for parties interested in performing this service to list their qualifications to do so, and, where appropriate, examples of their effort to demonstrate both a grasp of fundamental editing concepts as well as diplomacy.

On Structure, Organization, and Fair Use of Intellectual Property

1. The adminstrators have provided or are willing to provide assistance as needed to organize new categories and elements of structure and organization. Ask them for assistance when considering the creation of completely new elements that will result in a structural change to the wiki's organization.

2. Do not, under any circumstance, place copyrighted materials on this wiki (outside those which are available under 'Fair Use' as a player of World of Warcraft). Violations of this item will result both in immediate removal of the item(s) themselves and permanent ban of the user who placed them.

3. You must be logged in to create, edit or add, any pages created by IP addresses, even if they are a member not signed in, will be deleted. If a page created by an IP address seems legit, I will make an effort to contact/find the person who added it and tell them they need to sign up for membership and I will delete the page and repost it from my own member log. This rule is in place to keep people from hiding behind an IP address, and thus insure a more friendly enviroment.
